Here are some statistics about the Santa Fe Public Library system, current as of August, 2007 :
- HOURS OPEN:

The Main Library, which has the longest hours, is open 64 hours a week. The three libraries together are
open 170 hours per week.
- The catalog is online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Library users are doing
more than 30% of all catalog searches, and more than 50% of all renewals, online from home (or anywhere else.)
- The web pages and the blog are likewise available 24x7x365.
- CIRCULATION:
From July 1, 2006 to June 30, 2007 we circulated 457,463 items
- 206,731 from the Main Library
- 211,413 from the La Farge Library
- 39,319 from the Southside Library, which opened on March 23, 2007.
- We also filled about 28,100 holds.
- HOLDINGS:
- There are 198,316 titles in the collection (337,797 separate items). The items include
- 9550 videos and DVDs
- 10,700 audio materials (tape and CD)
- Of the 198,316 titles and 337,797 items,
- Main has 156,196 items
- La Farge has 113,149 items
- Southside has 68,452 items
- BORROWERS: We have 74,650 borrowers with library cards. About 20% of these are county
residents.
