Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
Requesting materials, which are not part of the Santa Fe Public Library collection from another library, is called Interlibrary Loan, often referred to as ILL.
Before submitting a request for an Interlibrary Loan, please check the Library Catalog and our Online Resources web page to ensure that the library does not already own the item. Santa Fe Public Library cannot obtain materials through Interlibrary Loan that it owns.
To use this service, your Santa Fe Public Library account must be in good standing. A maximum of three Interlibrary Loan requests may be made in one calendar month. Please keep in mind that items may take two to four weeks to arrive.
You will be notified when Interlibrary Loan materials are ready for pick up in the same manner you are with items owned by the Santa Fe Public Library.
Please note that the following materials are not available through Interlibrary Loan:
- Books published within the last six months
- DVDs, VHS, CDs, and other non-print media
By submitting an Interlibrary Loan form, you agree to return materials to the Santa Fe Public Library by the due date, and in the same condition in which you received them.
If you have any problems filling out an Interlibrary Loan form, please contact the Interlibrary Loan librarian by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone (505) 955-6720.
