Northern New Mexico (and southernmost Colorado)

This is a 40% scale version of the 975,000 byte LANDSAT image from the USGS, once available on their National Geospatial Data Clearinghouse's page of sample digital products. It's not surprising they chose this image as their sample, given how remarkably clear and informative it is. Lucky for us, it covers our own neighborhood. The image disappeared from the USGS site, but we were able to find an archived version in The Wayback Machine, and have saved a local copy of the full image.

The Valles Caldera National Preserve lies a little to right of center of this image.
