A Library Without Walls
Southside Library on Day #160, February 7, 2006 :
First, a brief pantomime, performed on concrete:
Some 7-day books in the stacks
Patron comes to the circulation desk, to check out,
...leaves via the front door.
Later, the books are returned to the Book Drop :-)
Some other sights:
Looking Across the Building
from near the data room. Backhoe on Country Club Drive in the distance is digging the library's sewer line.
Double Row of Catalog Workstations
standing about in the middle of the building. Sangre de Cristo Mountains on the skyline. No snow.
Librarian Behind the Reference Desk
Once the library has walls, it will be easier to keep warm :-)
Children's Room Patio
That's our neighbor, Zona del Sol, the children's and youth center, in the background.
