Provides free books to students throughout the school year to help build their at-home library and improve their reading skills
Residents of Santa Fe County can register their child to receive a free book by mail every month until they reach five years of age. Selections are carefully made by a national panel of experts. Local administration by Growing Up New Mexico.
Free books and other resources for educators, community representatives, and students from pre-K through 12th grade. Categories include fiction history, biography, natural sciences, art, teacher and parent materials, and much more.
Early childhood education and family support, including a home visiting program.
Free tutoring in basic literacy, English as a Second Language, and citizenship preparation skills
Provides free, science of reading based, structured literacy tutoring & social emotional support for 500 students every week who are reading one or more years below grade level. The multi-sensory tutoring program is customized, providing gamified tutoring sessions for each student.
A directory of local service providers who can help with the following needs: Basic Needs (food assistance, housing, transportation, utilities, and more); Behavioral Health & Substance Use; Education; Family Support Services; Health & Health Care; Employment & Income; Legal Services; Safety; Wellness & Recreation.
