Requesting materials, which are not part of the Santa Fe Public Library collection from another library, is called Interlibrary Loan (ILL). Before submitting a request, check the Library Catalog to ensure that the library does not already own the item. Santa Fe Public Library cannot obtain books through Interlibrary Loan that it owns.
To use this service, your Library account must be in good standing. A maximum of three Interlibrary Loan requests may be made in one calendar month. Please keep in mind that items may take two to four weeks to arrive.
Pick up your interlibrary loan books during open hours at Main, La Farge, and Southside.
Return your interlibrary loan books with the yellow strap attached to the circulation desk at Main, La Farge, and Southside.
Please note that the following materials are not available through Interlibrary Loan:
- Books published within the last six months
- DVDs, CDs, eBooks and other non-print media
