Funny Blind Stories: Perceiving the Humor While Losing My Sight by Raymond Whitehead
These are true stories of weird, wacky, wild and wonderful things that happened to the author during the twenty years it took to go completely blind and for the last twenty-seven years without any sight. There are things like riding a mini bike off a cliff, grabbing a woman’s breast while reaching for a gate and even driving a car next to a police officer without him figuring it out.
Raymond Whitehead wrote this book for several reasons: for his children and family, to help the sighted to better understand what happens to the visually impaired, and as an expression of his faith in Jesus Christ. Each story includes a passage from the Bible as it relates to his experiences.
Raymond Whitehead was born on the fourth of July in Manhattan, New York, and married the most beautiful woman in the world who was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico on Cinco de Mayo. Jovanna has stuck with him for thirty-one years so far and he is looking forward to another thirty-one. He has two sons, one daughter and two grand-daughters.
