Picture the Word: The Marriage of Word and Image is a workshop presented by local artist, writer, and educator Muller Davis. This workshop is for essayists, poets, and children’s book writers (and visual artists too) who want to create their own images to match their words. The objective of the workshop is to develop strategies for this pairing of word and image that we can utilize in our artistic lives. During the workshop, through an examination of art, as well as an inquirer into ourselves, our work, and our processes, we will be creating, discussing, and exploring. Bring your words and some drawing materials.
A professional visual artist and longtime Santa Fe resident, Muller has produced two books of art and poems, as well as a just-released novel about a first-year public high school teacher who goes crazy. Muller shows most weekends in Santa Fe with the Santa Fe Artists Market and the Santa Fe Society of Artists.
