Join Kaitlin Haase, Pollinator Conservation Specialist with the Xerces Society, for a presentation on welcoming pollinators to your gardens and yards in Santa Fe. Discover how to create a pollinator paradise including tips for growing native pollinator plants, reducing pesticide exposure in your yard, and creating space for nesting and overwintering pollinators. Kaitlin will also share how to participate in the Santa Fe Pollinator Trail Habitat Kit Program, which offers free native pollinator plants to residents and public spaces in Santa Fe.
About the Presenter
As the Southwest Pollinator Conservation Specialist, Kaitlin works to create climate-resilient, connected pollinator habitat in Santa Fe and Albuquerque. She collaborates with and educates public and private land managers in New Mexico and the desert Southwest on pollinator-friendly practices for landscaping, gardening, and open space restoration. She holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Policy from Northern Arizona University, where she studied impacts of drying on aquatic invertebrate diversity in natural and human-made ponds.
