Program Description

Event Details

New Mexico has a wonderful selection of plants growing in wild areas that contribute to the region's beauty and resilience, provide food and nesting sites for wildlife, and provide host plants and nectar for pollinators.  Many of these plants can thrive in your garden, providing not just a lovely landscape for you, but also saving water and contributing to habitat in our urban and suburban areas.

Presenter Background

Dr. Sylvan Kaufman is an ecologist and gardener who faced a steep learning curve gardening in New Mexico after moving here from the east coast a decade ago.  She is the President of the Santa Fe chapter of the Native Plant Society of New Mexico.
